ABOUT

Hi there! Welcome to my blog.

I am Shmruthi – Smithy for those who find it dizzying to pronounce my name ๐Ÿ˜€ Up until my 22nd year, I was leading a pretty clichรฉd life as an IT Engineer in India. Then I decided toย move to Paris. For my Masters.

No, not in fashion but in Business ๐Ÿ˜‰ ย And No, I did not know French!

Shmruthi's pictureThis move and everything that followed has transformed me into a different person. In ย many ways I am the very same person I was before, yet in many ways I am not.

For instance, I now LOVE travelling! It no longer gives me the creeps to travel alone and I have come to love the beauty of uncertainty ๐Ÿ˜€

I started this blog when I was doing an internship in Vietnam in early 2014. For the last two and a half years, my postgraduate education has enabled me to spread my wings across Europe and SE Asia. I am now in my final semester, doing a study exchange in Hong kong enjoying the final leg of my exciting roller coaster ride! Months from entering the “real world” and here I am back to blogging to keep alive the excitement! ๐Ÿ™‚

I am the sort of person who collects memories, stories and loads of pictures as souvenirs rather than physical objects. So those are the things I intend to fill my blog with ๐Ÿ™‚ Hop along and I hope you enjoy the ride!
